We've been readin Cyrano in english the past week. It is a very interesting story that i enjoy reading. It is a book that makes you laugh and the characters personalities keep you interested in the book. The message I will take away from this story is to help out the people you care about. It applies to our lives today because we need to help out our riends on their quest to ind love just like how Cyrano helped out Roxanne and Christian.

Satire is creating a ridiculous idea in order to make other people think about a specific subject or want to create some sort of change in the world. It is used to change people's opinions and persuade an audience a certain way. Satire works best when there is a horrible idea that is inhuman so people will be outraged and want to change the story by coming coming up with a better idea to create change in the world.
Satire can be ineffective if the satire isn't ridiculous enough to make people want to change. An example of good satire that is effective is a story we read in class about how a guy in Ireland wanted to eat the babies because it was cheap and they couldn't be charged taxes from England so they would no longer starve.
